Notre mission est simple et exigeante à la fois : offrir à chaque enfant — malgache, international, ou des deux mondes à la fois — une éducation d’excellence qui l’enracine fièrement dans sa culture, tout en le préparant à réussir partout dans le monde.

Comment nous enseignons

  • Nous accueillons chaque enfant tel qu’il est. Pas de test d’entrée : nous rencontrons votre enfant là où il en est, et construisons son parcours à partir de là.
  • Une communauté d’apprentissage sur trois ans. Vos enfants de 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, ou 12-15 ans grandissent ensemble. Les petits s’inspirent des grands, et les grands, en transmettant ce qu’ils savent, consolident encore mieux leurs propres acquis.
  • Les repas et collations sont inclus dans les frais de scolarité. Pas de frais de cantine séparés.
  • Le matériel scolaire est inclus. Pas de liste de fournitures à acheter séparément (les élèves de 9 à 15 ans apportent simplement leur propre trousse avec leurs stylos préférés).

Vos questions, nos réponses

Le Montessori est nouveau pour moi. Mon enfant va-t-il vraiment apprendre, ou est-ce juste du jeu libre?
C’est un vrai apprentissage, structuré différemment. Chaque salle de classe est un « environnement préparé » : du matériel spécifique, conçu pour que votre enfant découvre les concepts par lui-même, avec les mains. Chaque enfant suit un plan d’apprentissage individuel, suivi de près par son guide (l’enseignant). Ce n’est pas du jeu libre sans objectif.

Pourquoi mélanger les âges? Mon enfant plus âgé ne va-t-il pas perdre son temps à s’occuper des plus jeunes?
Les groupes de trois ans reproduisent ce qui se passe naturellement dans une famille ou une communauté. Expliquer une notion à un plus jeune renforce la compréhension du plus grand — c’est prouvé pédagogiquement. Et les plus jeunes apprennent en observant les plus grands travailler. Chaque enfant continue d’avancer à son propre rythme, sur son propre plan : personne n’est ralenti ni poussé en avant à cause du groupe.

Avec autant d’âges différents dans la même salle, comment le guide peut-il donner de l’attention à mon enfant?
Chaque classe a un guide principal, accompagné d’un(e) assistant(e). Parce que les enfants travaillent souvent seuls ou en petits groupes avec le matériel, le guide est libre de donner des leçons individuelles ou en petit groupe tout au long de la journée, à chaque enfant selon son niveau.

Sans notes ni examens, comment vais-je savoir si mon enfant progresse?
Le guide suit de près le plan d’apprentissage individuel de votre enfant et vous tient informé(e) régulièrement de ses progrès. Vous verrez la maîtrise de votre enfant se construire concrètement, matière après matière.

Sans notes, ni rangs de bureaux traditionnels, est-ce que la classe devient désordonnée?
Non. Nos classes suivent le principe de la « liberté dans un cadre » : les enfants choisissent leur travail, mais dans des limites claires et un rythme quotidien structuré. Nos élèves apprennent aussi l’autorégulation à travers une matière dédiée (PROCESS), qui les aide à se fixer des objectifs et à gérer leur temps.

Notre calendrier: différent de ce que vous connaissez peut-être

Nous suivons un calendrier scolaire de l’hémisphère sud, adapté aux saisons de Madagascar:

  • Semestre I: janvier à juin
  • Semestre II: août à décembre

Nos bureaux sont fermés chaque année du 1er au 21 juillet, ainsi que trois semaines en fin d’année (cette année, du 16 décembre 2026 au 8 janvier 2027). Nous traitons les inscriptions et réinscriptions juste avant et juste après ces périodes.

Ce dont vous avez besoin pour inscrire votre enfant

Pas de test. Voici simplement ce que nous demandons:

  • Le formulaire d’inscription complété (un formulaire par enfant)
  • Les dossiers scolaires précédents de votre enfant, s’il a déjà été scolarisé ailleurs. Cela nous aide simplement à savoir d’où il part, ce n’est pas un test.
  • Le formulaire médical de l’élève, à faire remplir par votre médecin
  • Une preuve d’assurance scolaire ARO (nous vous indiquerons la date limite au moment de l’inscription)
  • Un dépôt d’inscription de 250 000 Ar par enfant (non remboursable, et non déduit des frais de scolarité), par Mvola au +261 38 73 158 05 ou par virement bancaire. Envoyez ensuite une capture d’écran ou une preuve de paiement par WhatsApp ou par email.
  • Votre premier paiement de scolarité, selon le plan de paiement choisi (nous vous indiquerons la date limite au moment de l’inscription)

Frais de scolarité et paiement

Les frais de scolarité annuels sont de 7 500 000 Ar par enfant.

  • Vous pouvez payer en une seule fois, ou en deux versements.
  • Si vous choisissez de payer en deux versements, des frais administratifs de 50 000 Ar s’appliquent à chaque versement (en plus de la scolarité).

Bourses

Nous offrons un nombre limité de bourses chaque année. Pour l’année scolaire 2026-2027, toutes les places de bourse sont actuellement complètes. Nous pourrions ouvrir de nouvelles places à partir de juin 2027.

Nous acceptons les inscriptions toute l’année, selon les places disponibles.

Nous avons actuellement des places dans notre classe Maki (7 à 10 ans) et notre classe Sifaka (11 à 13 ans, jusqu’à 15 ans).

Pour la classe Sifaka, votre enfant doit être à l’aise en français ou en anglais (le malgache est un atout, mais n’est pas obligatoire). Toutes nos autres classes sont ouvertes à tous les enfants, quelle que soit leur langue.

How we teach

  • We welcome every child exactly as they are. No entrance test: we meet your child where they are, and build their path from there.
  • A three-year learning community. Your child grows up alongside 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, or 12-15 year-olds. Younger children are inspired by older ones, and older children deepen their own understanding by teaching what they know.
  • Meals and snacks are included in tuition. No separate canteen fees.
  • School supplies are included. No separate supply list to buy (students ages 9-15 just bring their own pencil case with their preferred pens).

Your questions, our answers

Montessori is new to me. Will my child actually learn, or is this just free play?
It’s real learning, just structured differently. Every classroom is a “prepared environment”: specific materials designed so your child discovers concepts hands-on, by themselves. Each child follows an individual learning plan, closely tracked by their guide (teacher). This isn’t unstructured free play.

Why mix ages? Won’t my older child just waste time looking after the younger ones?
Three-year age groups mirror what naturally happens in a family or community. Explaining a concept to a younger child actually strengthens the older child’s own understanding — this is well established pedagogically. And younger children learn by watching older ones work. Every child still moves at their own pace, on their own plan: no one is held back or pushed ahead because of the group.

With so many different ages in the same room, how can the guide give my child attention?
Every class has a lead guide, supported by an assistant. Because children often work independently or in small groups with the materials, the guide is free to give individual or small-group lessons throughout the day, matched to each child’s level.

Without grades or exams, how will I know if my child is progressing?
The guide closely tracks your child’s individual learning plan and keeps you regularly informed of their progress. You’ll see your child’s mastery build concretely, subject by subject.

Without grades or rows of desks, does the classroom become chaotic?
No. Our classrooms follow the principle of “freedom within limits”: children choose their work, but within clear boundaries and a structured daily rhythm. Our students also learn self-regulation through a dedicated subject (PROCESS), which helps them set goals and manage their time.

Our calendar: different from what you might be used to

We follow a Southern Hemisphere school calendar, matched to Madagascar’s seasons:

  • Term I: January to June
  • Term II: August to December

Our offices close every year from July 1 to July 21, and for three weeks at the end of the year (this year, December 16, 2026 to January 8, 2027). We process enrollments and re-enrollments right before and right after these periods.

What you need to enroll your child

No testing. Here’s simply what we ask for:

  • Completed enrollment form (one per child)
  • Your child’s previous school records, if they’ve attended school before. This just helps us know where they’re starting from, it’s not a test.
  • Student medical form, filled out by your doctor
  • Proof of ARO school insurance (we’ll give you the deadline when you enroll)
  • A registration deposit of 250,000 Ar per child (non-refundable, and not deducted from tuition), via Mvola at +261 38 73 158 05 or by bank transfer. Then send a screenshot or proof of payment via WhatsApp or email.
  • Your first tuition payment, based on your chosen payment plan (we’ll give you the deadline when you enroll)

Once completed, email all documents to info@sekolykintana.org.

Tuition and payment

Annual tuition is 7,500,000 Ar per child.

  • You can pay in full, or in two installments.
  • If you choose to split into two installments, a 50,000 Ar administrative fee applies to each installment (on top of tuition).

Scholarships

We offer a limited number of scholarships each year. For the 2026-2027 school year, all scholarship spots are currently full. We may open additional spots starting June 2027.

If you’re interested, contact us to be notified as soon as new spots open up.

Space still available

We accept enrollment year-round, as space allows.

We currently have space in our Maki class (ages 7-10) and our Sifaka class (ages 11-13, up to age 15).

For the Sifaka class, your child needs to be comfortable in French or English (Malagasy is a strength, but not required). All our other classes are open to children of any language background.
