Sekoly Kintana is currently managed (parrainé) by the Kintana Association in Madagascar. The school is supported through tuition; while teacher training, Montessori materials and staff development are supported by the Kintana Foundation a registered 501 (c)3 and other partners.
Our Vision
Sekoly Kintana is a community school that integrates current research in teaching, learning, psychopedagogy, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and thoughtful use of technology. We want children to fall in love with their own minds, build confidence, and develop the inner strength to serve their community.
Our school is a welcoming environment for all children—including zanatany, expatriates, and families from diverse backgrounds. We celebrate Malagasy culture and history while building a globally minded community. Rooted in the Montessori methodology, our program is proudly trilingual: Malagasy, English, and French.
- Our community language is Malagasy in the Lower Primary.
- English becomes the main community language in the Upper Primary.
- French is taught and used across projects and literacy.
